Cycling

Mallorca is well known within the cycling community as a first class training destination, in fact it’s used as a training camp for a host of professional teams throughout the winter months.

So what makes Mallorca so special, well the Mediterranean climate plays a big part, on average 300 days sunshine with average temperatures of 20 degrees. Plus the island is very “pro” cycling and there are numerous mapped routes to make your cycling experience easy to navigate. The structure of the island means that whichever resort you are based within minutes you can be challenging yourself up a mountain and away from the madding crowds. Each route will lead you to quaint small town or village, in fact it’s normal to see bikes outside the local café as cyclists indulge in a bit of tapas and take in the ambience and atmosphere of Mallorcain life.

You don’t need to be an experienced cyclist to experience the delights of cycling, there are designated flat routes around the resorts coastlines and the city of Palma now has a cycling lane too.

We have hand picked what we believe is one of the best routes, click in to take a look
